This training opened a whole new realm of opportunities to become more aware of our role and impact as yoga teachers and provided me with a number of informative tools to become more mindful when teaching diverse traumatized groups. It gave me a solid understanding of what trauma is and how it can show up in our lives. It also offered clear research-based insights on how trauma can affect our neurophysiology and how trauma-informed yoga classes can support and address these imbalances, not only in trauma sensitive populations but also in people that are experiencing more of the everyday kinds of stress. Lastly, it opened an inward looking window to my own traumatic experiences and provided me with exceptionally valuable options to do the necessary work to tap into self healing, and in turn heal generations behind me and those to come after. I am looking forward to continuing this training in the future. (P.S Michele Vinbury is a gem.) - Pilar Hita, DDS, PhD, RYT-200
